Professional translation for crochet, Tunisian crochet and knitting patterns. Clear, accurate and faithful to your style. English–French and French–English.

Professional, accurate and designer‑friendly translation to help your patterns reach a wider audience without losing your voice.

Why you should have your patterns translated

Your patterns deserve to be read, understood, and appreciated by everyone who wants to make them—regardless of their language. A good translation does more than just swap out words: it preserves your style, your intent, and your unique teaching approach.

I translate your patterns from French to English and from English to French, paying special attention to consistency, knitting and crochet-specific terminology, and readability.

What I offer

A professional, accurate translation that stays true to your voice.

I translate your patterns in a format that works for you:

  • directly into your editable document (Word, Google Docs, Canva, etc.)
  • by annotating your PDF
  • or by providing a separate text document

You’ll receive a clear, consistent pattern that’s ready to be laid out according to your standards.

What's included

  • Complete translation of the pattern.
  • Accurate use of knitting/crochet terminology
  • Linguistic consistency check
  • Delivery in the format of your choice:
  • Clear and professional communication:
  • Personalized, straightforward, and reassuring support

You stay in control. Always.

I know that entrusting your work to someone else can be intimidating. It’s your creation, your style, your expertise.

That’s why I focus on three essential elements:

  1. Your voice remains intact
I respect your writing style, your tone, and your way of explaining things.
The translation reflects your identity, not mine.
  2. You’re never on your own
If your audience asks a question in a language you don’t speak, don’t panic.
Questions are usually simple and can be easily translated using a free tool.
And if a special case arises, I’m here to support you.
  3. You’re working with an industry professional
I understand the realities of designers, the expectations of clients, and the technical nuances of knitting and crochet.
You don’t need to explain your craft to me—I already understand it.

What is not included

If you would like a comprehensive validation of the pattern (logic, mathematics, consistency, feasibility), this is a separate, tech editing service.

Check out my technical editing primer for more information.
