Free crochet pattern : the Swifty-loo hat

I think I may have designed the fastest ever hat to crochet...! Wear it as a slouch, or fold up the brim for a tuque =)

INSTRUCTIONS

Materials :

Yarn : Studioloo, Fatsy-Loo 100g, or 100g bulky yarn
Hook : 10 mm

Yarn needle
Stitch marker

Gauge : 7 sts = 4'' (10cm), based on instructions for hat

Sizes :
S (18'' head) M (20'' head) L (22'' head)

Abbreviations :

sl st : slip stitch
ch : chain
sc : single crochet
sc-blo : single crochet, back loop only

Note : Hat is worked from the bottom up, in unjoined rounds.




Instructions:

Ch 29 (33, 36) to start. Join with sl st to form ring.

Round 1 : Ch 1, sc around. Do not join!

Rounds 2 to 19 : Sc-blo around. Do not join!

At the end of round 19, finish off keeping a long tail for finishing.
Weave long tail in and out of round 19 stitches. Pull tightly to close. Weave ends in securely.
