Special Stitches

First linked treble crochet (First ltr): insert hook in 2^nd chain from hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, insert hook in 3^rd chain from hook, yarn over, pull up a loop, insert hook in same space, yarn over, pull up a loop (4 loops on hook), (yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook) 3 times.

Linked treble crochet
(ltr): insert hook in top horizontal bar of previous
stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, insert hook in bottom horizontal bar of
previous stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, insert hook in indicated stitch,
