I followed Crochetmilie's super well written crochet pattern. Get your copy on Etsy. Highly recommend her patterns: numerous photos, well explained, easy to follow.
I did modify the size of the pattern, crocheting with Worsted weight yarn + a 4.5 mm Clover Amour hook.
