Last Saturday was Local Yarn Store Day. You know I was going to partake, of course! I chose a roadtrip to Mont-Tricot in beautiful Sutton, Qc. I was lucky enough to be joined by one of my Favorite People, my friend Marie-Ange. She is the baker behind our tasty Maple Blues Cookies to match the free Autumn cowl pattern.
Local Yarn Stores are really fun places to visit every day, but especially on Festive ones such as LYS2019 : a bunch of people have the same plans, so you end up seeing people you don't get to see often! I got to see Lucinda & Gilles, owners of Mont-Tricot; Julie Asselin & her husband, Jean-François, inspiring yarn dyers; Zab Allard crochet & knit designer at L'Univers d'une tricoteuse; as well as Sophie and Myriam - among others - fellow fans of gorgeous yarn!
We had a fabulous lunch at a local café, and the roadtrip was a welcome change of pace from working alone in my pjs!
And I bought things, of course.
