What’s this: This is the Mélo Hat. It was designed in collaboration with Julie Asselin Hand-dyed yarns.
Why should I make this: Horizontal cables, a pompom & Julie Asselin’s yarn: the perfect combo. Spoil yourself with this sumptious yarn.. be warned though : you’ll never go back.
When will this get the most use: As soon as it gets chilly outside!
Who is it for: Cable lovers, rejoice! Also, the hat itself is custom-sized.
Where do I start: This pattern is rated Advanceed – You’ll need to be comfortable with crochet & crochet cables. You will need 150g of Worsted weight yarn (used here, Julie Asselin Hektos in the Arlequin colourway) & a 5 mm hook. Other notions: a faux-fur pompom or your favorite pompom making tool, a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
