What’s this: This is the Twisted Cowl. It was designed in collaboration with Julie Asselin Hand-dyed Yarns & is a Tunisian crochet pattern.
Why should I make this: Perfect for the wildest to the tamest colour mixes, this is a fast cowl to crochet, and super soft to wear. You’re going to come back to this pattern again and again.
The cowl is worked in Tunisian crochet, with Milis by Julie Asselin, a surprisingly soft tightly twisted superfine yarn.
When will this get the most use: Whenever it gets chilly.
Who is it for: With the right choice of colours, this can be for anyone on your list!
Where do I start: This pattern is rated Advanced – You’ll need to know (or be eager to learn) Tunisian crochet stitches and principles (the pattern explains these in simple terms). You will need 115g of Fingering weight yarn in each of 2 colours (used here: Milis by Julie Asselin) & a 5mm interchangeable Tunisian hook with cord. Other notions: a yarn needle, and some stitch markers.
