Embroidery on crochet is a simple and clever way to decorate an otherwise boring piece (hah). Here, I used half-double crochet stitches as the base for simple running, cross and arrowhead embroidery stitches, but you can also embroider on single crochet, Tunisian simple stitch or Tunisian knit stitch.
The premium pattern available in my shops includes a photo primer.
You’ll find this free pattern below.
Thank you Marly and Cryssi for another amazing blog hop!

Stitch guide

Notes
Infinity scarf is crocheted in turned rounds. The scarf itself is relatively boring to crochet (!) you’ll bring it to life with the embroidery.
Starting ch 2 does not replace 1 st st.
INSTRUCTIONS
Scarf
With 6 mm hook and Rapido, ch 168, join with sl st in first ch.
Round 1. Ch 2, hdc in each st around, join with sl st in first hdc , turn. 168 hdc
Rounds 2-24. Repeat Round 1.
At the end of the last round, fasten off and weave ends in.
Embroidery
Thread Comfort onto yarn needle. Begin each embroidery stitch with threaded yarn needle behind work.
When embroidery is complete, cut yarn and weave ends in as you normally would.
The premium pattern available in my shops includes a photo primer.

Of course, you can add your own version of these and other embroidery stitches to your work! Think of the infinity scarf as a canvas onto which you can pour your imagination!
